Hello, I just wanted to say I had a great time today at my first class with LA-Jedi. Originally I was just going down for my son to watch and play around with his lightsaber and maybe learn a little myself. Unfortunately my son shyed up and decided playing at the park was more fun for the time being. So not wanting to loose an opportunity I decided to jump in and have a go. All in all I had a great time and picked up some new stuff to practice.
I would like to thank Mario (7evens) for being such a great partner and making me feel right at home and at ease. It was a pleasuer working with you. There were also a couple other members who we very friendly with me but I am sorry to say that I am very lousy with names but I am sure you know who you are. Thanks.
Thank you to Caine Drathul for traveling down and presenting the lessons in escrima, I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity. Brought back some fond memories and an itch to pick up the sticks again.
Finally thank you to the Abbot for the time and dedication in creating and maintaining this group. I apoligize for not taking the opportunity to formally introduce myself at the class as I arrived late (got lost
) and I had to leave early for a family dinner in Huntington Beach.
Unfortunately I won't be a regular at the class due to scheduling conflicts, but I will be dropping by now and then on Saturdays when time permits. If there is anyone in the southbay area (Torrance, Harbor City, San Pedro) I would love to try and get together now and then to practice. Otherwise I will be studying the videos.
