Is this someplace we can park for a good long while or will we get tickets if we leave our cars there to go see the parade?

Since it's the biggest night of the year, parking will be an issue. Best bet is to check the signs and make sure you can park. Hopfully there will be parking lots where you can pay and not worry about getting a parking ticket.

could meet up somewhere else, and carpool there This goes out to torlin and all oc sith lord (& ... padawans), we should car pool into LA. My vehicle only hoods 4 at most (5 is literally not possible), but if a pool can be made I'd be willing to rent a van, or who ever has the largest vehicle. Parking will be crazy, and I plan to be in the holly woood by 5:30 ish or earlier, as I would rather sit and wait than deal with parking. So if you're directly between Hollywood and the OC (I.E. near the 710, 91) post your pledge if you'd like to ride with us, and remember that we plan to go early and party until Torlin drops! P.S. Torlin speak up next time (I didn't get your message until Saturday night!) I'll try to make it to thursday night for you!

The Abbot of LA Jedi says: Come meet up with LA Jedi at the Hollywood Parade Halloween night. We hope to get Star Wars lovers out in large numbers for the parade. So get on your Star Wars costume and grab your Lightsabers.
Jenzo says: The parade is not really a parade, it's just a parade of costumers walking Santa Monica Blvd between La Cienega and Doheny. I have been in the past- it's crazy and packed, but really fun and we will probably be posing for pics all night!
If you don't have a costume and want to join us, no problem! Just bring your saber and wear all black- there will hopefully be enough of us who are dressed Jedi that if you are in dark clothes with a lightsaber, you will be Jedi by association! In the dark, if we are posing for pics, no one will know you are not wearing a costume, they will just see the beautiful glow of the sabers!
If you want to join us and wear a costume other than Jedi, that is great, too! There will be thousands of people wearing all kinds of costumes!
We will meet at 8pmish at the corner of Santa Monica and N San Vincente. (NOT at The Carl's Jr. On La Brea as previously mentioned!) If you are late, it's OK. Call one of us or just walk the parade route and look for the people showing off. That'll be us!
Parking is going to be tough so we highly encourage you to carpool with other members. Here is the parking and Shuttle info if you can't find a free parking spot. (But I hope we all find free parking!)
Parking and Shuttle Information

The City of West Hollywood will be offering FREE CityLine service on Halloween during the usual hours of 5:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. The route will operate along Santa Monica Boulevard between La Cienega Boulevard and Fuller Avenue. Dayline Service will operate 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. only.
Here are the street closures, to help you navigate your way there:

^ super late to be asking for numbers. - TorLin's view of the event of Halloween in W. HollywoodIt was very exciting to see all the people dressed up. We just stand somewhere in the middle, and let people come to us to see costumes, and of course we had lots of times to be asked to take pictures. Also, two times we circled up and made a lightsaber show off circle (like they do for breakdancin' but with lightsabers). - Quoted from Star Wars Space.net ...
