It was small last year. But it was really fun. Like I said they gave away a lot of cool stuff. I think it would be cool if a Army of Jedi showed up to this years October Fest. That would be something too behold.

Too bad you & Dad live so far in the outer rim, DS. On the other hand, Marius, there is Oktoberfest in the Alpine Village (not to far from M & M's ). I'd like to propose that we get a group together in October & do Oktoberfest as well as some costume thingy around Halloween time, like we did last year.

There's 2 little organizations I'd like to mention. One is the Society for Creative Anachronism(SCA) which started out about 30-35 years ago as a Medieval Tournament themed going-away party for someone going to Vietnam. It was held in someone's back yard. Today it is an international group with thousands of members.
The other group is LA Jedi. One year ago it started out with about five founders and a handful of members. I think there were about 30 members on line when I signed up at that time. Take a look at how many people are on-line members now.
And of course there's Comic Con.
So, October Fest will grow and blossom, too.

The only Oktoberfest i know of involves beer, but i have some really close friends that live in the palmdale area and i know a preson that works at the edge 100.1.. well i know her inderectly.. more like an aquaintance of a friend.. lol.
Anyway, depending on day and time i would be interested in goin out there. If there is beer i would totally go.. j/k sort of.
Sorry i am crazy for beer.
