combining "Moff" costume w/ dark jedi costume?

would it be possible? it sounds kind weird and i see it in my head but iono how to describe it...

i wana take the moff uniform and morph it into a dark jedi costume.. so heres my thoughts...

-no hat
-turn the uniform black
-make it looser, giving it more of a jedi tunic feel yet maintaining the same fabric or material.
-sew imperial symbols on both the right and left tricep (similar to rankings on a marine's uniform)
-keep medals on the right chest

my character is also an ex TIE In/Starfighter pilot so itd be cool if i could take my bio picture holding a TIE helmet in this costume. for more info on my character you can check out my bio in the "Introduction" post listings.

i cnt draw and cnt sew so i dnt know how to get my idea out of my head and bring it to life... haha

the only thing i can think of is if someone helped me put my ideas on paper...

let me know if u have any ideas please... it'd be greatly appreciated...

LA jedi is not a costuming group (ie. rebel legion. 501st, etc), we're a Star Wars inspired social group that specializes in Staged Combat (with lightsabers).

If you have an idea for a costume by all means go for it. Just use your imagination and use it to inspire your costume.

We can't advise you on "canon" (no smart remarks, Marius!) But, considering the period and background of your "character," I'd look to Luke's "dark jedi" costume in Return of the Jedi for inspiration. It's cut similarly to the rebel and imperial officer uniforms, but it's got the Jedi obi, belt and tabbards. Note the tabbards, as the rest of the costume, are much more streamlined than old republic Jedi robes.

Dude I think your idea of the Moff costume rocks. I am glad someone thought of it. I was thinking of the Red imperial guardsmen to get my costume a rockin.
