Hello Padawans, Jedi and Sith!
The class schedule for May is as follows:
Thursday, May 8th- 7:30 -10:00pm (Sabers ON!)
Thursday, May 15th- 7:30- 10:00pm (Sabers ON!)
Saturday, May 17th- 1:00- 3:00pm
Thursday, May 22nd- 7:30- 10:00pm (Sabers ON!)
Thursday, May 29th- 7:30pm- 10:00pm (Sabers ON!)
Thursday May 8th and Thursday, May 15th, we will be doing Jar Kai.
(Two lightsabers!)
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE TWO LIGHTSABERS, or even one for that matter, it is time to get one or go get a 4' by 1" PVC pipe from home depot. (It will only cost a few dollars.)
Radio Shack has a cheap MR plastic one for approx 45 bucks that lights up and makes the whooshing sounds.
Otherwise, the sabers we use, force-fx Master Replicas, are scarce but available at some Sharper Image, Toys R us, and Fry's stores.
-->If you come to class with out a saber or a pvc pipe or a 4 foot stick, from now on there will be a $5 per lightsaber non- refundable rental fee.
We have been loaning out our sabers and several have been broken. That fee will go towards repairing the broken ones.
Something fun:
LA JEDI will have a booth at Frank & Son, a weekly Comic Book and collectibles show in The City of Industry on Star Wars Day, Saturday, May 31st.
Frank and Son is calling it that because Jeremy Bulloch (the OG Boba Fett) and Daniel Logan (young Boba Fett) will be at the event signing autographs.
The event is free.
Parking is free.
Come hang out and promote LA Jedi.
If you have a Star Wars costume, please wear it!
If you don't have one and just want to support and promote LA Jedi, come on down in your street clothes.
We will be passing out flyers, promoting our group, flourishing and generally showing off, and throwing short basic classes on the hour.
