i finished my DIY Darth Maul saber kit from Ultrasabers.com. it was kind of neat being able to tear apart something i spent about 300-ish (saber and kit) and completely gut the thing keep the soundboard and battery pack. i couldn't believe how bright the new led was over the strip that came with the mr maul. instead of taking pics of the saber in diff stages of appartedness (that is the scientific term for it), because we have all seen pics of that, just a beauty pic or two... under a skylight by the way

Well Done Padawan BarJedi you have now attained the Level of Jedi Knight and responsibilities within. Excellent Work my Friend. PS: Once you go LUX you will never go back.

Well Done Padawan BarJedi you have now attained the Level of Jedi Knight and responsibilities within. Excellent Work my Friend. PS: Once you go LUX you will never go back. well the whole jedi making his or her saber thing was part of getting the diy kit. the only issue i had with the thing was that i pinched one of the wires between the sound mod and the hilt wall which exposed the wire and shorted out on the hilt which caused the light to not come on... a bit of electrical tape and i was styling!!! all in all i think i would have spent a bit less if i would have bought a conversion from ultrasabers, but: 1. i could always use the tools. 2. it gave my roomies a chance to snoop. 3. it was fun. now to start a custom hilt in cad! HA HA HAAAA!!! <<giving the Dr. Evil laugh with pinky at lips>>>

Let me know how your custom hilt on Cad comes up. I'm still debating it I should do mine on Max or Maya.
