Besides the Usual classes, also have LAjedi field trips (maybe go camping for a weekend), BBQs, Movie Parties, etc.

Got any Idea where? I was thinking maybe a beach that would allow us to throw a bon-fire. I think there is one in Malibu, but I don't remember the name of that beach.

This would be a big field-trip that would require alot of thought. Ie: transportaiton, gas, lodging, meals, incidentals, etc ...and most importantly money.

I have a few suggestions:
- Choreography competition. Pair off members of LA Jedi and hold a contest to see who can choreograph the best, most creative, realistic stage fight. The judges can be the instructors, Kit Fisto, Ramz and Jenzo.
- Charity. We participate as a group in a charitable organization. I recommend a Children's Hospital. We arrive in costume and entertain the kids. Let them play with some light sabers, etc. Put on a little show for them.
- Halloween. It is approaching FAR faster than we realize. We need to make some appearance somewhere as a group.
- Business cards. Want new members? Let's get some business cards made up for all members to carry and distribute. Business cards are cheap to print at about 500 or 1000 an order. Everyone chip in $5 or so.

We all def got to get together on Halloween,go to Santa Monica promenade,or Hollywood and show off our skills.

Great ideas, Dolus Malus, all of them. So, you want to slaughter sick younglings in a medical center. You are twisted and evil. Kidding! You have the right idea, that is exactly the path we want to follow! Jenzo

As I mentioned at last saturday practice, I have a program on my PC for making business cards. Also being able to do Charity Work for something you Love doing anyway how can you go wrong. I mean we raised 32K for starlight/starbrite in 05 just for being in line for ROTS.

I was thinking maybe we could get ahold of The Boys and Girls club of America and see if they are doing any charities soon where we could take part and show up in costume at their events.

I have an idea for the business card in mind.
I think its a little to early to have competitions. I'm all for it, eventually.
We should do drills on how to hit (not hitting), because we are burning into our muscles the spins and poses, but we should also practice the telegraphed swings. By borrowing on actual form we will easily learn how to pull shots quickly, but one thing they do is drill it into the muscle over and over again. Introductions into poses and spins are great, but we should dive into form. The box pattern is a start everyone should know but before making something abstract we need to be confident each swing is proper, so that when our minds forget the que or mess up, our muscles remember how to keep our sticks just enough away from the other person.

Rocky (you'll meet him on sundays class) and i use to throw a flair bartending practice at Bolsa Chica and it would end up with firestaffs and flair bottles on fire when it got late. basically it was a come hang out at the beach and practice if you want, fool around or whatever kind of thing... lots of one on one learning going on from eachother, some food was cooked and a bonfire was lit as it got late... it was a great thing, flair types and non flair types just hanging out having a good time and learning from eachother. i thinnk we all can learn from eachother no matter what the expirence

I agree with JSD, but I got Hasbro Sabers and I don't mind getting sand in them.
