Star Wars Action News reported in a recent podcast that Steve Sansweet made several comments at Jedi-Con this past weekend in regards to future Star Wars Celebrations. To further clarify the rumors I went right to the source, Steve Sansweet.
SWAN rumor report: Celebration 5 is very, very, very likely in 2009, with Chicago the frontrunner as the venue.
Sansweet: We are hoping to do a Celebration in the U.S. next year, and we’ll be looking at Midwest locations like Chicago as well as some further east

Chicago would be a hell of a fun town to stomp around in fully bedecked in robes though.

I heard a previous rumor that they've already signed to have the next one in the LA Convention Center, bu, you know, always in motion the future is.

Word on the street is that Lucasfilm wasn't too happy with the way C4 was run and they want to have more of a hand in it. I've also heard Chicago, and I think it would be alot of fun to go all decked out! Besides, if they have saber wars, we need to take home the gold!

If it does take place in Chi-Towne, it''l be yet another Celebration I couldn't make it to due to distance... NOTE: I have yet to attend a friggin SW Celebreation.

I've got an aunt in Skakie (a Subarb of Chi-Town). I'll see if she doesn't mind Jedi and Sith Crashing out at her place for a weekend.

I suppose we'll have to wait and see...but more than likely it would be in chicago, it's rare that a convention takes place twice in the same state, as it pertains to star wars anyway...seriously dude I doubt we would see another convention here until the year like 2062.
