can anyother groups get in on saberwars or is it a "LA Jedi/NY jedi" thing?

Several questions.
A. what time must we be there in order to get in free.
b. where do we buy the tickets prior to to delay any wait...I need to buy tickets for another jedi.
c. when you say "work" what time of work are we referring to?

can anyother groups get in on saberwars or is it a "LA Jedi/NY jedi" thing? NYjedi, PAjedi, LAjedi, KYjedi, FLjedi, and NJjedi are all part of Saberwars. The competition is limited to these groups only (with the exception of other Saberwars groups that may debut at Wizard World). Several questions. A. what time must we be there in order to get in free. b. where do we buy the tickets prior to to delay any wait...I need to buy tickets for another jedi. c. when you say "work" what time of work are we referring to? A. In the morning, since all LAjedi members will meet up to go in at the same time (plus you have to be in costume). Plus, only the Major Players and Instructors are scheduled to go in fro free since there is only a limited amount of LAjedi members that are on the list to go in for free. B. The Wizard World website. c. Working at the Saberwars booth. Advertising/promoting Saberwars (ie. LAjedi), answering questions for guests, going on food runs, etc. |

Regarding LA Jedi members getting free into Wizard world.
: Sorry for the misunderstanding,but there is no way we can get all 75 LA Jedi members in free to Wizard world.
Free entry is for the 8 instructors and our major players,and we are not even sure if we can get all 15 of us in,so everyone should be prepared to pay.
Flynn said free entry is only for those working the booth,and that would be instructors and major players only!

Thanks Kitt for the update considering my current employment situation, if nothing changes I will be there all 3 days and I have much PR Meet and Greet experience dealing with the public from my Ren Faire Days!!  |

Considering I'll be having my finals, I might have to take a few days off work, and miss the Thrusday class before (and possibly the one before that too) to make up on my school work so I be there all 3 days.

Poodu! I was looking forward to getting in free but it's completely understandable. I'd still like to help out in some capacity. Perhaps I could help man the booth or greet the public? Of course I'll be in costume and present a respectable face for LA Jedi. Can a moderator please contact me about this?

As long as you're part of LAjedi (and all saberwars. Don't want to leave out any one from NYjedi, PAjedi and other saberwars groups that visit our forums), you are more than welcome to hang out at the booth.

Can we get a meeting time nailed down so we can all go in together? For instance if I show up at 10am and everyone else went in at 9am that would be bad. I think a lot of folks would appreciate a firm time to meet up outside.

I drove by the convention center today. Parking is $20 @ that center.  There are several parking lots across the street that run from $6 to $7. If you don't mind walking a few blocks, you will find the lots on Pico and Hope run from $3 to $5. I'll be taking the train. All day pass $5 , don't have to worry about driving, fighting for parking, well you get the point. If you've never been to the convention center, there aren't to many places near by to eat. So be ready to shell out some credits for your grub.  |
