*ATTN: LAjedi to visit Dominic one more time.

In the past, a group of LA Jedi 19 strong went to visit a sick little boy in the hospital. Dominic is home and is asking for us!
He is 4 years old and has 4 different ailments, including spinal muscular atrophy, Cerebral Palsy and Lou Gehrigs disease. (Don’t remember the 4th.) For those of you who feel it might be difficult to see him, fear not! He looks great and is adorable!

If you would like to join us, we are visiting him again on Sunday, October 19th. He lives in Apple Valley, which is a healthy drive, but last time we met at the park and a lot of us carpooled, chatting away, making the drive fun and it didn’t seem long at all.

Seeing him at home has quite an advantage over seeing him at the hospital. Perhaps now, we can bring him outside and show off for him with our sabers as opposed to standing quietly by his bed.

Our last visit was supposed to be at home and he was sent to the hospital last minute, which could happen again. If it does, that’s OK, the hospital in Loma Linda where he goes often is one hour closer. If you would like to join us and have a costume, please wear it. If you don’t have a costume and want to come, that is great, just bring your lightsaber! Dominic loves lightsabers and adores the saber donated to him on our last visit by Torlin.
(Give it up to Torlin!)

George Lucas was at Dominic's side at The Clone Wars premiere thanks to the Make a Wish Foundation. He has also received visits from Spiderman, Superman, Batman and other famous heroes, he is quite popular (with the Ladies) and wins the hearts of all, sometimes without a word. Dominic has a light around him, and I guess it’s ‘The Force’!

Just as a remeinder, we will be going to visit Dominic this Sunday. Please arrive at the Park Sunday morning around 9:30 so we can leave by10am.

Costumes are optional by highly encouraged (remember it's for Shorty so if your costume is not 100% but want to wear it, go ahead). If you can't go in costume then your LAjedi Shirt is ok. If you don't have either a costume or the LAjedi shirt then a Star Wars t-shirt is good to go!

We are still scheduled to visit him at home, unless he goes to the hostpital last minute. I will have print outs of the the driving directions to his home (or you can print it out your self if you would like) for thsoe who will be driving or those who will be the navigator.

Please note, Shorty lives in Apple Valley which is in the High Desert area so it would be wise to bring some water for the drive or while there since it's hot. If you're going in costume and is to hot to wear before we get there, try to wear a portion of it and finish dressing up once there.

If anyone would like to donate anything but can't go, feel free to drop off your donation(s) on Thursday night at class or Sunday morning before we leave.

Also please let us know if you are drving so we can plan this now and avoid lossing time on Sunday morning. Passangers, please pitch to the driver of your vehicle for Gas. We will distribute phone numbers per vechile Sunday morning.

i bet there are lots of places that we can visit ill kid's that are closer to us. its just the matter of finding them, and i bet if you do the research you can organize a date, time, i bet the group would like to go.

if this was a family member, i bet this would be a totally different situation, and im not saying it is, but im just pointing it out. would distance matter?

But since Ramz been asked by Dom to see if we can go see him as a group it would be an honor. I did not have the chance to go see him last time because Im not very good with hospital scene.

Just a Remeinder that LAjedi is going to Visit Padawan Dominic Tomorrow at his home in Apple Valley, CA. If you would like to go, please meet at the park around 9:30am to leave by 10 (and make sure to eat breakfast before meeting up as we plan to leave on time). Costumes are optional, but highly encourged.
