Hey everybody, last night me, Digital - I mean Adelphia Cable, and Ki-ye-nor-bowl (and his white Giesha) went to a local gamestop in Whittier. And we dressed up, I got in my armor, Cable put on his blind fold and bared his scrawny shoulder, Ki decked out in ren-fair ring wraith lothr gear and his girl squeezed into a corset. She almost ruined the commune by having a green saber and calling her self rogue (while wearing all black like the rest of us), but she quickly switched to the dark side by setting her joe jedi saber (radio shack) to red. I don't have any pictures but someone brought a camera, and there was someone who was youtubing all four of us on rockband (Cable don't sing ever... or dance).
Oddly I was the only one to purchase a copy for the wii. Cable how ever played a demo of the game in the store for the PS3 and we were all absorbed in just watching for like 20 minutes. Despite the eyes, and teeth the graphics are phenomenal, and looked really inviting to play. Sadly the wii version doesn't look so pretty.
I'm half asleep at work right now, but I actually stayed up to watch the intro movie and play it last night. And the graphics were disappointing having seen the ps3 version, faces are deadpan, the female lead is unsexy, everyone's eyes are bulging. The wii controls are very fun however, you will get an exercise playing this game. I only played for an hour, and had some fun, it just lacks a few thing. One is graphics, and the other seems to be AI. On the PS3 I saw bot soldiers jump out of the way when you force throw something or do a force hadoken. They didn't on the wii version. But like a lot of game on the wii it isn't that complex, when do a finishing move, they spell out the directions on the screen. You put your right wii remote in , you put left nunchunk out, You do the hooky poky and you.. you get it. It was fun.
First level, you get to play as Vader (don't whine if this was a spoiler, come on everyone knew). He can't run, but he has a slow swagger and is already powerful that he punks all the wookies, while your troopers cower in fear.
The levels between the Wii and PS3 are different! The location is the same, but the levels and environment are different. You will see the same storyline but gameplay, and level design are different. Personally I love the wii controls (you will use both hand, and you can attach it to a wii lightsaber), but I want the PS3 graphics and AI. PS3 looks and feel are awesome but would be better with wii control. Can't have everything, but it is downright a classic in the hall of STARWARS games.

As I stated before; the Wii lacks the Graphics (and AI) that the PS3 and XBox 360 have since the wii isn't not compatible with Next Gen (HD) graphics. Though, to make up for it the Wii version has 4 extra levels that the other 2 consoles do not have.
If I'm not mistaken, the Wii and PS2 versions are very simmilar if not the same (Not sure about the 4 extra levels).
As far a Vader in the Begining, it's not a Spoiler since the game is about his secret apprentice and how he came to be. Vader is slow because he does not need to run (a true Sith). Though his almighty power is a foreshadow for when Galen has to duel with him at the end.
You shouldn't complain though, I've had the game since Monday afternoon, and I still have not been able to play it. Probably won't until next weekend.
By the way, did you get the Glowsaber controller?

You should have kept it for the Clone Wars game that comes out for Christmas. The game is designed to be played as a lightsaber.

Story is awesome. I won't say anything about it though. Graphics on the wii suck ass, don't get it it ruins the story a bit. Plus some of the moves are too difficult to activate with the wii. Use and upgrade force push and saber throw often and first. There are only a few other powers worth it, but the rest are too tricky to bust out on a moments notices. You'll rarely if ever use malestrome cause you have to charge it. Once you do beat it gets a bit easy to replay cause your powers are amped. You could replace the difficult task of picking stuff up to throw with saber throw as it is now powerful enough replace object throw. Use force push like mad cause your saber is useless when you run straight into the middle of the room with 3 attacking you with sticks and 4 shooting you in the back. Force push everything or toss stuff before you enter an open area. Bosses are much easier than being in between 10 marines and officers in an open area.
The force is your allie, use it (just the basic force powers). Your saber is novety in the game, you will use it, but just by going ape shiite with it with who ever is directly in front of you.
If you can bear the gameplay then you'll love the story line. There will be enjoyable moments, but most are just frustrating.
Having played this I think there is no harmony in developed. The vision, voice acting and story are great, but while playing you get a sense of being way too strong, and enemy attacks being too week. It frustrating when the camera doesn't show you what you need to see cause you get stuck easily in a corner. Plus as the throw what appears to be strong bombs that are able to knowck you off your feet doesn't take that much damage.

Since I've just signed up I'm a little late for this topic. But I have to say that I liked the game. It didn't have the epic story of say, God Of War, but I enjoyed it. Playing in on PS2 (can't afford 3 yet), I was disappointed in the facial details of the characters, but the in-game play was fun. I couldn't stop thinking while fighting the stormtroopers inside the Death star, "Why couldn't this be Luke Skywalker?"

You should be able to unlock the luke skin and play him, with normal powers of course but it will not play the story line though. I know for sure you can do this on the wii, but not sure for the ps2.
