Comic-Con 2008 is July 24-27. I'm looking forward to Comic-Con I know it's going to be a lot of fun. But there our a few things that I'm a little weary about. It's the hotel Fairs. These days it can get really expensive to stay at a hotel. When I went to Wizard World and Celebration IV. I didn't have to stay in a hotel. But Comic-Con is in San Diego I'll have to travel farther. Which means a hotel is vital. Comic-Con is $75 dollars for 4 days. I can a ford that. But I don't know if I can afford 3 nights in a hotel. Whatever the case I'll do my best to try and be there all 4 days. But there's not a lot of time for me to think about it. Comic-Con is only a few months away. What's more is that you can't buy the memberships on-site. You can only get the memberships online and once they sell out of the memberships online that's it. So what I'm wondering is this: How many days do any of us plan on going to Comic-Con?
I plan 4 days, 3 days or 2 days. Whatever I can afford.

If your planning to reserve a hotel for Comic Con, do it now. It's not gonna be cheap, so think about how many days your gonna spend there. One night in a hotel Ramz referred me to is gonna cost close to $250. Thats close to 1/4 of my monthly rent!!!! Or, sleep in your car.

I understand what you main, there isn't much time left. Hotels are the really killer of money here. But I just had an idea. Marius you made a comment about sleeping in your car. Well here's another idea. Does anyone have a Friend or Family member that lives in San Diego? What I mean is this. Maybe that friend or Family member could let a few of us stay with them while we go to Comic-Con for a price or even for free. It's sound like a good idea and even if that person we would stay with charges us money. I'm sure it would be as much as the hotels would charge.

i have a friend who lives in San Diego, and I have already asked if there is anyway i can bring some friends along with me to stay for a few nights as i go to comic con. he answered no... the household housemates won't let anyone else because they don't know you guys well. you got to understand their point of view, I mean it just sounds awkward to ask someone you know if some stranger can stay with them.
the reason why I think i am allowed is that i've knew them for 2 years prior to me going to comic-con, this would be my 3rd time going.
anyway I hope you guys can understand.

Not sure what all that about, but I think Marius is just playing around.
As for Con. the more of us there, the better! We should really make an impression on everyone. Get pics, videos, wear costumes, the whole shebang. Maybe next year we should think about getting a booth!

Oh god...my mental eyes have now just been messed up LOL
Now, if he did it in full Maul tattooing and the thong... I could come up with a few girls who might be interested in a car wash... ;D

If all else fails, lets all pitch in on an RV.
*Note: I'm not serious about it but if all else fails, it might become an option.

Since I work at an RV rental company, I ran the price on renting an RV from Irvine from 7/24 to 7/28 to take to Comic Con so you can see how much it would really be. Using this RV ( www.elmonterv.com/vd-26.aspx) which will actually sleep 8 people, this unit costs about $1510 which includes 200 miles. That's about $190 each person (assuming 8 people). If you can't provide your own insurance, buying our insurance will cost another $120 plus tax. There would also be another $500 for security deposit, but you get that back when you return the RV. Just FYI. I can check for smaller RVs, too if you'd like - let me know. Prodigal

OUCH! At those prices, a hotel would be way more affordable.

Hey G-Force I know about the KOA camp grounds. My Dad and I have camp site for 2 nights reserved there. My Dad and I got 2 nights at the KOA for $138. We checked Hotel prices and most want like $350 a night. So go with KOA it's a lot cheaper. Hey G-Force maybe I'll see you and a few other LAJEDI members at the KOA.
